Cross-sheet References Basics

To create a formula that references data in another sheet, you must first create a cross-sheet reference between the detail sheet and the source sheet. That reference must also define the cell range. Once you have created the cross-sheet reference, you can use the reference name in any formula on the detail sheet. To create the formula, use Add Rows or Update Rows. Cross-sheet references that are not used by any formula are automatically deleted after two hours.
